What do we do in singing class?
We start with voice warm ups, after which we move on to work on the song chosen by the student or a song recommended by the teacher, through which we get to know different ones for vocal technical matters, such as; breathing, voice placement, vocal range, ear training, presentation, singing styles, support, tone and dynamics, articulation and timing.
What is done in the free accompaniment lesson?
The goal of the lesson is for the student to learn to play the piano using chords that can be used to accompany themselves or others. During the class, we get to know the basics of music theory at ease. We explore different accompaniment styles and comps. In the class, we also go over vocal technique along with accompaniment.
What is done in the online class?
Distance singing lessons are the same style as singing lessons. We start with vocal wam ups and move on to work on various vocal technique such as breathing, voice placement, vocal range (see singing lessons). The student can choose a song himself or we can recommend a song to start working on. In online classes, we use background tapes to practice the songs.
Do you need to know how to read sheet music?
No need! If you want, we can learn them during singing lessons. The same goes for free accompaniment lessons, where the main focus is, however, on learning chords.
How often should you take singing lessons?
You can choose the number of hours completely according to your own goals and schedule. If you aim for rapid development and have time to practice regularly, weekly singing lessons can be a good option. However, for many, taking lessons every other week works well. If, on the other hand, you mainly practice independently with the help of materials and just want to make sure with the teacher that you are progressing in the right direction, you can attend classes less often, for example once a month.
